This has already become a classic of the genre, but the English still prefer to make a lawn according to their traditions: sowing the space with seeds and carefully mowing the grass for several centuries… But we do not live in good old England, but in the European part, where grass also grows beautifully and, if you have a great desire, you can make a lawn yourself.

There are two most common methods: “natural” and artificial. In the first option, the ground is simply leveled, then generously watered, a great many plants grow, some of which are subsequently removed by simple weeding. This approach requires minimal costs, but the availability of fresh and necessary grass is extremely difficult to guarantee, and this approach is more suitable for public parks.
But in the case where we want a perfectly smooth, lush green lawn, we will have to roll up our sleeves and sweat.

First, you need to completely eliminate the weeds using herbicides like Tornado.
And only then should you start manually digging the soil. It is needed for many purposes – not only will the seeds grow well in it, but when digging, you should not only remove the remaining rhizomes of weeds, but also immediately add the necessary fertilizer.
Once the soil has been loosened, you should rake it so that the soil has small mounds, in the spaces between which the seeds will be. For lawns, manual sowing of seeds is preferable, that is, as our ancestors did when sowing wheat. The standard value of the required seeds (meadow bluegrass, red oat grass or creeping bentgrass) is 30-40 g / m2.
To ensure even distribution of seeds on the surface, it is best to rake the soil crosswise.

After that, everything is relatively simple – everything is generously filled with water and covered with a special fabric, which will provide the seeds with the most optimal conditions for germination (humidity and high temperature). As soon as the grass starts to grow, the film is removed, and automatic watering devices are installed, preventing the grass from drying out already at the growth stage. For irrigation of lawns, it is preferable to install automatic watering devices that allow spraying water using special nozzles. Such nozzles can irrigate both in a circular mode and in a strictly individual mode.
When the grass reaches a height of 10-12 cm, you will need to think about buying a good lawn mower. If the area is small, then an electric lawn mower will do just fine. In the case when you need to mow large areas, say, a golf club lawn, you can opt for a gasoline analogue.
As you can see, laying and maintaining a lawn is an expensive pleasure, but as soon as the lawn owner and his children stand barefoot on their first hard green carpet for the first time, all doubts that preceded this decision fly away immediately…
